Michelle Abati
Ensemble
Michelle is excited to be in her first show at LFMSS, The Little Mermaid! She is part of the ensemble. Michelle has three years of singing experience and a few years of dance. She enjoys performing and loves the song "Under the Sea." Michelle is happy to be part of the show and is excited to keep learning and growing as a performer.
Sophia Baggio
Ensemble
Sophia is a Grade 6 student who is thrilled to be in this year's production. Outside of school, she enjoys playing competitive soccer and dance, with a particular interest in gymnastics. Last year, she played the leading role of Lucy in her Grade 5 production of Charlie Brown Christmas and also choreographed her own dance that she showcased on stage. Her favourite scene in the play is "Positoovity," as she enjoys the upbeat choreography. Sophia loves performing on stage in front of audiences and is excited for her community to see the show!
Evelyn Chien
Alana/Ensemble
Evelyn is overjoyed to play Alana, one of Ariel's six sisters, and can't wait to share the magic of this show! Currently in Grade 8, she previously performed as Little Anna in Frozen, an experience that sparked her passion for the stage! This is her second time in The Little Mermaid; her first was with P.L.A.Y., where she also played a mersister. Evelyn loves singing, acting, watching musicals, and playing her three instruments. She would like to thank her parents for their endless support, especially for early Saturday mornings and for always being there for her.
Jacob Dyck
Pilot/Ensemble
Jacob is in his second year of choir and loves being a part of this show because he's surrounded by a very supportive cast. Jacob loves the "LET'S GET A MOVE ON, PEOPLE!" vibe, which pushes everyone to be at their best! Jacob's favorite scene is "Kiss the Girl" because he has front row seats to awkward romance! He decided to be a part of this show because he was blown away by how amazing Frozen was. Jacob appreciates the encouragement of Elizabeth (Ursula) who has lifted his spirits while still providing him with feedback on what to work on.
Sierra Edora
Windward/Ensemble
Sierra is in Grade 8 and is so delighted to play Windward and a chef in this production! She has previously appeared in small shows in her elementary school, but nothing as big and amazing as this one! Sierra loves to sing, dance, and act, and she's been passionate about it since she was very young. She is excited to be part of this production and especially enjoys dancing in "Les Poissons" and the song "She's in Love." Sierra would like to thank her parents, directors, fellow castmates and friends for all their love and support. Enjoy the show!
Riana Febin
Ensemble
Riana is in Grade 10, and although she's new to musicals, Riana has over 10 years of experience in dance. Additionally, this former gymnast who has studied drama for the past four years and has recently started taking voice lessons. Practically raised on stage, Riana has performed singing, dancing, acting, and public speaking since she was young. Captivated by the last musical at LFMSS, Riana immediately knew she wanted to participate in the next one. The eager anticipation paid off because, although she has participated in various other productions, nothing can compare to the wondrous experience she's had here!
Arabella Flegg
Leeward/Dance Captain/Ensemble
Arabella is super excited to be in The Little Mermaid, her second production with LFMSS! She is in Grade 10 and has 12 years of dance experience. Arabella was in Frozen 2 years ago, and she is so happy to be back with her amazing directors. Her favourite part of the show is "Under The Sea!" She would like to thank her directors, castmates, crew, orchestra, tech team and parents for all their hard work!
Amelia Fontaine
Flotsam/Ensemble
Amelia is so excited to be in the cast of the musical this year! As a Grade 6 student in her first year at LFMSS, being in the musical has been an exceptionally amazing experience. Amelia has been in multiple productions at Lights Up Musical Theatre, including Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland. Amelia feels very proud to be a part of this fabulous production! She wants to thank her parents for supporting her throughout the musical, as well as Isla Kim, Avery Gallagher, and Sophia Baggio. Amelia is looking forward to LFMSS's next musical!
Arad Forouzesh
King Triton
Arad is in Grade 12 and is proud to play King Triton in The Little Mermaid. He has been involved in music and performance for several years, including Jazz Band as a guitarist and Concert and Jazz Choir as a tenor. This is one of his first major acting roles, and he is excited to bring strength and emotion to the character of Triton. Arad has developed confidence and stage presence through his performing arts experiences. He is grateful for the support of his teachers and peers and is excited to be part of this production!
Avery Gallagher
Ensemble
Avery is in Grade 6 and is stoked to be a part of the musical! Avery has always admired and had a passion for theatre. She played Lucy in The Charlie Brown Christmas Pageant at LFES and has danced at Kick it up a Notch in the past. Avery is so excited to be part of the production and wants to thank her family, friends, and directors for supporting her through this experience. She has made so many long-lasting friendships that she will treasure for the rest of her life. Avery loves being a part of the LFMSS musical!
Allyson Ha
Flounder/Ensemble
Allyson is in Grade 7 and she plays the role of Flounder in the musical. She has done singing lessons for 4 years, dance for 5 years and this is her first musical. Allyson is thrilled to be a part of this year's production due to all the exciting moments! Her favourite scenes and songs are all of them because they are entertaining to watch. The one that stands out to her the most is "Under the Sea" for its energetic and lively atmosphere! Allyson would like to thank everyone in the musical for making it a memorable experience!
Caitlyn Ha
Adella/Ensemble
Caitlyn plays the role of Adella in this production. As a Grade 12 student, she has been involved in music at LFMSS for four years, participating in choir and jazz. She previously worked backstage for Frozen but decided to try performing this year, making this her first musical. Her passion for music continues to grow as she enjoys singing and performing for others. Being part of this show brings her joy, as she hopes to spread happiness and support for her castmates. She would like to thank her family and friends that encouraged her to embrace her love for performing.
Lillia Hantke
Ariel/Ensemble
Lillia is so honored and excited to perform as Ariel in LFMSS's The Little Mermaid! She has always loved singing, dancing, and acting and has trained in many dance styles since age four, including competitive dance. Lillia previously appeared in Frozen as a dancer and ensemble member and is thrilled to take on this leading role and learn how to portray such a beloved mermaid! This journey has been lots of hard work, but she's incredibly grateful for the support of her parents, friends, and mentors, especially Diana, Dianna, Beth, Audrey, Cara, and Adelaide Layton! Bethany Henkel
Ensemble
Bethany is in Grade 7 and is thrilled to dive under the sea and play several roles in this musical. She loves making the musical more exciting by doing flips and other acrobatic moves. She is passionate about the performing arts and really enjoys playing a villain (Eel 4) for a change! Being able to show a completely different side of her by embracing the character's sneaky and demonic personality has been fun! Bethany is proud to be a part of this massive, inclusive, and fun production and is excited for audiences to experience the magic of The Little Mermaid!
Lexxi Jackson
Arista/Ensemble
This is Lexxi's second time having the privilege to be part of an LFMSS musical! Lexxi has been in the music program at LFMSS for 5 years and has been competitively dancing for 8 years at Thrive Dance Studios. She is excited for you to see all the hard work that's been put into fine tuning the singing, dancing and acting on stage! She is very grateful to be a part of this incredibly talented group of artists and can't wait for you to see how that's reflected in the show!
Isla Kim
Ensemble
Isla is in Grade 6, and she has always had a love for musicals! She has always dreamed of being in musicals and this is her first one! Isla has been in choir for 7 years and just last year, she went to the Choir Nationals in Toronto! She will also be going to The World Choir Games in Sweden in August! Isla is so stoked to be a part of this show, and she has loved working with amazing directors and making lifelong friendships! She would like to thank family and friends, Amelia Fontaine, Celeste Layton, and the directors!
Cassia Koehn
Ensemble
Cassia is playing multiple roles in the ensemble including a fish, a frog, and puppeteering a poor unfortunate soul. She is in seventh grade and this is her first musical. She loves to sing and has a flare for the dramatic, so she decided to take a step and become part of this world. She has taken some ballet, is learning flute and piano, and currently sings on her church worship team. She's excited to share the stage with her older brother, Prince Eric, and enjoys laughing at him behind the scenes.
Ethan Koehn
Prince Eric
Ethan Koehn is a Grade 12 student excited to play Prince Eric in the musical. Ethan has experience singing in choir and jazz choir and plays trumpet and guitar. As a competitive long-distance athlete, Ethan has no problem with the physical requirements of dancing while singing and can be found singing while running around Langley. He was inspired to act during the Frozen, Jr. musical while watching from the camera booth. Ethan's favourite songs are "Fathoms Below" and "Her Voice" – a stage production original song. Ethan wants to thank his music teachers for the countless, varied experiences they've provided him.
Elizabeth Lambert
Ursula/Ensemble
Elizabeth Lambert is an actor and dancer currently performing as Ursula in The Little Mermaid. She previously appeared in Frozen as part of the ensemble. With 14 years of dance underneath her belt, she has loved bringing that experience to the show. Elizabeth will be attending the University of Victoria's theatre program this fall, where she plans to continue developing her craft in acting and performance. She would like to thank everyone who has supported her journey on and off the stage. Enjoy the show!
Adelaide Layton
Ursula/Ensemble
Adelaide welcomes you, poor unfortunate souls, to The Little Mermaid! In Grade 11, she is thrilled to play Ursula! You may have seen her as Elsa in Frozen! She has loved adding her own flair to Ursula and exploring the challenge of portraying a villain. Adelaide has been singing her entire life and taking vocal lessons since age 8. She thanks her incredible voice teacher, Carlene Wiebe, for her constant support, for inspiring her love of singing, and for introducing her to Ursula. She also thanks the directors and crew for their hard work and patience! Enjoy the show!
Celeste Layton
Jetsam/Ensemble
Celeste, Grade 8, is absolutely elated to be Jetsam in the The Little Mermaid! She has previously been in Frozen Jr. at Fundy and Shrek with Fraser Valley Stage. Celeste enjoys singing and acting, and tolerates dancing. She likes spending time with her friends at rehearsal and being her older sister's hench-eel. Celeste spends her free time singing, playing volleyball, or with her nose stuck in a book. Celeste wants to thank all the directors, producers, and others who helped make this show possible, and hopes everyone enjoys it!
Chloe Li
Ensemble
Chloe is a Grade 11 student performing in several ensemble roles (Sea Creature, Bullrush, Sous Chef) in the production of The Little Mermaid. She has previously performed in productions of The Secret Garden, Into the Woods Jr., The Little Princess, Seussical, Peter Pan, and The Sound of Music. With seven years of experience in dance, gymnastics, and choir, Chloe has developed strong performance skills. She is thrilled to bring these vibrant characters to life and sincerely thanks her family, teachers, and castmates for their endless support and encouragement.
Tiyana McCarthy
Ensemble
Tiyana has always loved watching the school's magical musicals. She was a part of Fundy's Frozen musical and loved the connections built with the cast and the audience's reactions. After many years of gymnastics, performing reminds her of stepping out in a big competition. It's scary at first but quickly becomes fun and unforgettable. Her favourite scene is "Les Poissons" because the mayhem makes her laugh and keeps her invested! Tiyana is grateful to work with such a supportive and talented cast and team of directors and is excited to watch many future musicals after she graduates!
Oliver McGowan
Sebastian/Ensemble
Oliver is in Grade 12 and played guitar and an array of percussion instruments 2 years ago during the Frozen musical. He has no prior experience with acting or singing apart from karaoke, but his practice in martial arts has helped him develop his dancing abilities! Oliver is looking forward to the show and enjoys being a part of a large production once again. His favorite scene is "Les Poissons" because of the excitement and action in the scene paired with the comedic aspects of the moment. Oliver relates to the dramatic personality his character is constantly outputting!
Annika Nicolle
Ariel/Ensemble
As a longtime music student now in Grade 12, Annika is thrilled to conclude her high school journey as Ariel. Having previously played Olaf in Frozen, this role is close to her heart as Ariel's curiosity and determination have mirrored Annika's own personality since childhood. Performing "Part of Your World" is a dream and she has poured her heart into every note. Annika is excited to share this show and thanks the cast, directors, her family, and her "Prince" for their support. She looks forward to continuing her musical passion at Capilano University this fall. Enjoy the show!
Liviya Nicolle

Liviya is in Grade 7 and plays fish, soul puppeteer and frog roles. Liviya is very excited to act in front of a crowd in her first musical. She loves acting and singing and is very passionate, excited, and enthusiastic about this show! Liviya joined this production because she wanted to act and to make new friends. She really enjoys "Under the Sea" because she loves how everyone can act in one scene together. Liviya thanks her family and friends for encouraging her. Her future goal in the arts is to have fun and enjoy more musicals to come!
Reanna Nielsen

Reanna is a student in Grade 12 and plays Andrina and several ensemble roles. She has a lot of experience in music as she has played piano for eleven years and has been in choir for three years. She decided to try out for the show because she has always admired musical actors and thought it would be something fun to do in her last year at the school! Her favourite song is "Her Voice." She hopes you enjoy the show!
Katelyn Phelps
Scuttle/Ensemble
Katelyn is in Grade 10 and is very excited to play Scuttle (one of her dream roles) in this year's production of The Little Mermaid! She has been part of numerous productions including Frozen with LFMSS two years ago. She would like to thank her parents, friends, and cast mates for putting up with her incessant singing and dancing, and for being a constant support. And, of course, her amazing directing, producing, and tech teams for making this show possible. She hopes you have a spenditacular time!
Owen Radbourne
Grimsby/Ensemble
Owen is a Grade 12 student at LFMSS. Owen is excited to be cast as Grimsby for his first theater production. Although this is Owen's first show, he has built his experience in the spotlight by singing in both jazz and concert choir, by playing as a lead tenor saxophonist in jazz band, and by playing goalie in the FVCJHA! Owen felt inspired to join the cast after being asked to be a last-minute cameraman for Frozen in 2024 and saw the amazing work the cast and directors put into the musical. Enjoy the show!

Brie is super excited to be a mermaid sister in this production of The Little Mermaid. As a Grade 12 student, she has been involved in many music groups across the school including the last production of Frozen, Jr. and the LFMSS choir. Her favourite song in the show is "She's in Love," and she's very excited to perform it for everyone! Brie would like to thank the cast, crew and directors for their dedication to making this an amazing experience, as well as her family for encouraging her along the way. We hope you enjoy the show!!
Dhairya Singh

Dhairya is in Grade 7 and plays several ensemble roles. He has experience in public speaking but not much singing, and he has done a bit of dancing before. He feels great to have the opportunity to be part of such a big show and enjoys having new experiences. Dhairya joined the musical to overcome his fear of singing in public and to gain experience for a bigger role in future musicals. His favorite song is "Les Poissons Mayhem" because of its funny choreography! In the future, Dhairya hopes to join the LFMSS musical again and thanks the directing team.

Ryleigh has enjoyed being part of the school musical and has made many memories she will forever cherish. She was in the Frozen musical in grade 7 and was very excited to join The Little Mermaid this year. Ryleigh has experience in singing and dancing, including choir, musicals, and ballet. Ryleigh has felt so much joy to be a part of the show, with people in it who surround her with encouragement and friendship. She thanks her parents, cast, and crew for their support. Ryleigh is beyond grateful to be a part of something so special in every way.
Taylor Strand

Taylor is in Grade 12 and has participated in many aspects of the music program over the years. She has grown significantly in her acting and singing abilities. Taylor enjoys being a part of The Little Mermaid because of the community. The cast is caring and supportive, and she also loves the fond memories she is making – memories that will stick around for many years to come! Her favourite thing about the musical is the talented leads, most of whom are close friends of hers. She hopes to perform well on stage and will enjoy every minute!
Breanna Thorpe

Bree is in Grade 7, and her favorite scene and song of all time has got to be "Under the Sea"! She just loves how many people come together to make it happen. Bree decided to try out for the show to get out of her comfort zone and try something new. By far her biggest supporters have been her parents, who have encouraged her throughout the whole show. She also has future plans to hopefully be in the next production and to be more confident in herself.
Grace Trawgaye
Flounder/Ensemble
In Grade 9, Grace is thrilled to be playing Flounder! She's excited to be back after appearing in Frozen. Grace has been taking singing lessons for three years and has spent two years in concert choir, which has helped her develop her singing skills. One of Grace's favourite parts of the show is "The Contest" because of how silly and fun the scene is, while also contrasting with the moment Ariel gets her voice back. She loves being part of the musical community and enjoys the amazing friendships. She's already looking forward to the next show. She hopes you enjoy!
Micah Wollf
Chef Louis/Ensemble
The Little Mermaid is Micah's first musical with Fundy. He is currently in Grade 8 and can't wait to perform in front of everybody. Micah has performed with Theater in the Country in a production of Frozen. He also plays multiple instruments and has enjoyed learning how to "play" his voice in this musical. Micah feels honoured and valued to be part of such a renowned and famed theater program that Fundy provides. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he does!
